Day One
A Warm Welcome in White and Olive
The festivities began with a lively welcome party at Los Tres Tiempos, one of Antigua’s most beloved restaurants, nestled right in the heart of town. Guests arrived dressed entirely in white, setting a sophisticated but relaxed tone. Aldo and Joanna stood out in olive-green attire, a subtle but stylish contrast that beautifully tied into Antigua’s earthy palette.
The night was full of laughter, clinking glasses, and heartfelt toasts — the perfect way to begin a weekend of celebration and connection.

Getting Ready
The wedding day began at the Kuxtal Residences, a collection of stunning villas designed for destination weddings. Joanna’s suite was bathed in natural light, perfect for capturing those quiet, anticipatory moments before the ceremony.
Her wedding gown, crafted by a Russian designer, was a piece of sculptural art — ethereal layers of sheer fabric that moved like liquid with every step. The delicate draping and structured bodice created a modern yet romantic silhouette. Aldo looked equally refined in a white tuxedo jacket paired with black trousers, an elegant choice that tied in perfectly with the clean, neutral color palette of the day.
Saguzo Eventos, their expert planner, coordinated every element seamlessly, ensuring that the day flowed effortlessly from start to finish.
A Ceremony Beneath the Arches of History
Held within the Santa Clara Ruins, the ceremony was breathtaking from the moment guests entered. The space — with its towering brick arches, exposed walls, and open dome — was transformed with rows of wooden bistro chairs and an aisle lined with cloud-like clusters of baby’s breath.
At the altar, tall white floral arrangements and modern candles in soft golden tones framed the couple perfectly, blending the raw textures of the ruins with clean, contemporary design.
As Joana walked down the aisle on her father’s arm, her smile lit up the ancient space. The moment she reached Aldo, surrounded by the love of their guests and the echo of soft strings, was pure magic. Their kiss beneath the open ceiling — with daylight streaming in — felt timeless and cinematic, a symbol of enduring love amidst history.
Portraits Among the Ruins

After the ceremony, the couple wandered through the quiet arches of Santa Clara for portraits. The setting — ancient stone walls, soft light, and shadows — created a painterly backdrop. Joanna’s dress, with its sculptural folds and flowing train, stood out beautifully against the textured stone, while Aldo’s crisp white jacket added contrast and elegance.
These moments, captured among centuries-old architecture, felt intimate and cinematic — a true reflection of Antigua’s timeless charm.
